Frequently Asked Questions
General
How many people usually attend one of your pickleball trips?
The answer is - it depends on the trip! Our group trips in 2027 are expected to be limited to 16-24 guests compared to some other pickleball tours that pack 32-60 guests on other tours. You will get a lot more 1-on-1 time with the tour guides and coaching staff and a more intimate experience overall
Who will be coaching on these trips?
Our pickleball coaching staff will vary depending on availability for each trip. However, every coach is experienced and certified. Coach Shelley Wong and Coach Hong Tran are the first to lead as Global Pickleball Tour coaches. We are excited to add to our coaching team as our trips grow!
What is the skill level needed to participate on a trip?
All skill levels are welcome! However, most of the guests will likely be 3.0-4.0 players. Players will be placed in groups based on skill set.
How are players grouped during instructional clinics?
We will request your approximate skill level after you finish booking your trip. Players will be initially placed with others with similar skill levels. Coaches can change court assignments once they see how the players fit in or based on preference.
Do you offer travel insurance?
No, we do not. We do recommend purchasing travel insurance from a third party. Depending on the trip and the travel agency we partner with they may offer travel insurance.
What if I have diet restrictions?
We will do everything we can to provide options to accommodate your diet. Most of the places we visit will have plenty of restaurants and food to choose from! Just let us know about your dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Are solo travellers common on your trips?
The number of solo travellers will depend on the trip. We have a very welcoming coaching team, guests and staff that will make your trip memorable regardless of whether you are a solo traveller or not.
What does a daily schedule look like on a trip?
We start off each trip with a welcome dinner the evening that guests fly in. Instructional clinics begin the next morning, typically lasting 2 hours somewhere between 8am-11 a.m. or later in the afternoon sometime between 4-7 p.m. every day. We will offer a mix of clinics, liveball, open play and more! Each day will be different. Tours are will usually be later in the morning and afternoon, and optional group meetups are in the evenings. We end each trip with a farewell dinner the night before guests fly out!
